Norton’s Heating is a family owned and operated business
that was started in 1995 by Rick Norton at his hobby farm in rural Bemidji, MN.
In addition to residential and light commercial HVAC applications,
Norton’s Heating has serviced and installed several ventilation
systems in commercial kitchens, including make up air units and commercial range
hood exhaust systems. In the spring of 2008 Norton’s Heating added a dedicated
commercial kitchen division with the purchase of a commercial kitchen range hood
cleaning and fire suppression system business. With the purchase of the
business came 26 customers. With the help of two – 2 man cleaning crews, an
inside sales manager and an outside salesman, our customer base is now 469
customers strong. Our motto is ‘Setting the Standard in Restaurant Services’
and we believe that philosophy is responsible for our outstanding growth. From
the cleaning crews to the office staff, we take the extra time to make sure our
customers are satisfied and they have received the best possible service. When
our crews arrive to our customer’s site, we take care to provide the services
they need, including taking before & after pictures, pulling out the cook line
equipment, cleaning of the back wall & floor behind the cook line, in addition
to a thorough cleaning of the hood, filters and grease ducts including removing
and cleaning the exhaust fan. We also clean the kitchen appliances when
requested. When our crews have finished with the cleaning, all equipment is
replaced and we ensure that the kitchen system is working properly. If the fire
suppression system is due to be serviced, we also provide semi-annual
suppression system services for all types of systems, installation of new
systems and upgrades to existing systems.
